Save the Date: ConnectCarolina User Conference Scheduled for Oct. 21

By users, for users.  The User Conference is a free, one-day event that provides an opportunity for users to learn how to get the most out of ConnectCarolina and InfoPorte.  Participants will:

• Discover tips and tricks for becoming more productive and efficient

• Find out how to use other tools (like Excel) to do more with your data

• Share your knowledge with colleagues and learn from their experiences

Registration will be required (but is not yet available).  Go to the User Conference page to sign up for a reminder when conference registration opens.

July Activities Update Video

New ConnectCarolina Mobile App for Students

Students can use ConnectCarolina on mobile devices through the CarolinaGo app.  The app is available for both Apple and Android devices.  The app is only available for students at this time. More info here.

Outage Image

Upcoming Outages

Two upcoming outages:

Sat., Aug. 29, 5am to approx. 12 noon
There will be a ConnectCarolina maintenance outage on Saturday, Aug. 29, beginning at 5:00am and ending at approximately 12 noon. This affects the Student Administration component of ConnectCarolina and the ePAR hire form for HR/Payroll as well as some services related to Onyen, PID and Guest ID. The Finance component is NOT affected by this outage.

Tues., Sept. 1, 5pm to approx. 12 midnight:
There will be an outage affecting the Student Administration component of ConnectCarolina on Tues., Sept. 1, beginning at 5:00pm and ending at approximately 12 midnight as part of the Fall census activities. Census is the official University enrollment reporting date. This affects the Student Administration component of ConnectCarolina and the ePAR hire form for HR/Payroll as well as some services related to Onyen, PID and Guest ID. The Finance component is NOT affected by this outage.

Legacy Systems Image

Update on Turning Off Legacy Systems

A timetable for legacy system transitions and decommissioning has been published here. This table will be updated as new information comes available. 

The Legacy Systems page is your one-stop source for information on the transition of University administrative systems replaced by ConnectCarolina and InfoPorte. Some of these legacy systems have already been turned off and soon, more of these systems will be decommissioned.

Timing of Transactions From ConnectCarolina to InfoPorte

Important Reminder for Finance Users: Transactions entered in ConnectCarolina appear in InfoPorte the next day, not immediately.  Some transactions -- particularly payroll and some procurement transactions such as canceling a purchase order -- may not be available in InfoPorte until the following Monday (because they are processed over a weekend).
